Five days, 8 songs and 424 more dollars to go...
The days left are merely single digits now... It seems only yesterday that my friends and I were counting down from 218. I think as far as everyone knows, the most anticipated event of my year is occurring in five days, but that is not the only reason the blog post received this title.
These next five days are going to be some of the most important moments of my life, and I want to make sure that that I live them to the fullest. Have you ever waited for something, tested your patience and worn yourself thin, and then when that thing finally comes round, you wish that you had more time to prepare yourself? It happens all the time, and with more serious events than Exalt, or Catons, or whatever trip or event you're preparing for. This week, I haven't been able to help but think, "when those days come, will I be prepared?" So much is happening in our lives today, and I'm worried that if we don't stop to look at what's coming, we'll be caught, right in line for a head on collision. Give yourself time to prepare for what's coming ahead, both in the good, and the bad. Then you will be able to truly enjoy the good that God provides, and be able to weather through the storms that life throws at you. I remember saying that as a joke tonight at DQ, but it stands true: Prepare yourself.
