Hey guys, the setlist has been confirmed for next week. Here are the songs:
Intro/Salvation
Break Free
Million Pieces
Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble
Sing Sing Sing
Don't wait to practice. Don't even think about putting it off. This, at best, is a difficult setlist, so make sure you give yourself enough time to work with everything. As I said last night, everything is on the site (minus Break Free and Million Pieces). I'll try and get Break Free up here by the end of the day, you might have to search for Million Pieces on the net yourselves. Alright, that's it everybody. We may have to try and practice tomorrow... Peter can't practice with us either Wednesday or Thursday, so we have to do something about that.
EDIT: Here are the Break Free chord sheets.
CD Version (KJ..., take this one)
Alternate (Matt..., take this one)

Fall Bash: Practice Times/Musicbook 3.0
Hey guys, just wanted to leave a note on here concerning the Fall Bash. I think I got to all of you this afternoon, but as a reminder, the practice times for this week are set to be as follows:
Wednesday, 6pm - Movie on the Wall
Thursday, 6pm - Done
Make sure you come on Wednesday, I think we're planning on having a meeting before practice, and you'll all be given the updated Musicbook. There will be no audio cd's this year, as far as I concern it, but alternatively the entire Musicbook has been put on here electronically. You can access all the chords/sheets, as well as the mp3s to this year and years previous, in the Resources Section. Hopefully I've covered all that I need to. Oh yeah, right now, Million Pieces is the only song confirmed, but hopefully, there should be a setlist complete for us to work with. Have a good night everyone.

Touching Heaven, Touching Earth
After many hours of listening to the same thing over and over again, I decided that I could not keep quiet about it :). I felt something I hadn't felt since earlier this summer in that room, and the recordings stand as proof of that you don't have to go somewhere far away, or to camp, even to a rally, to meet God. He will meet us exactly where we are. Words can't express how much of the Holy Spirit I felt in that room. I was playing things I didn't even know I could, mistakes and all. I listen to it, and I just feel so... content. For what we accomplished in human terms, as well as in heavenly terms. We work so hard to make sure that things "sound good" or "go right", but most times, if the heart and right intentions are there, that's where the power will lie. That's where God's power laid for me last night. Ok, have a good night guys, that's all I wanted to say.

Writing
Over the past little while, I've noticed that a lot of us seem to be doing much of the same thing: writing. Whether it be in song format like Greg's, or just getting thoughts down on something that isn't our minds, the artillery of combined vowels and consonants are firing away. This got me thinking, why do we write, or try to write in a specific format?
I have a few ideas on that, some of them my own reasons. I think for a lot of people, writing gives a certain level of catharsis, a purging or a release of thoughts and emotions, through art nonetheless! Writing allows the person to leave that thought "on the paper", and not have to take it with them everywhere they go. You could call it emotional therapy.
Another reason for writing, and perhaps a more important one for myself, is the ability to convey different messages, experiences, as well as personal emotions through text and verse (or prose, whichever one decides). Well placed words can paint pictures and invoke a sort of invisible power so great. However, these words can also be well placed inadvertently, and with an opposite end result, which could do more harm than good. That is why we must be careful of what we write, as words are much more potent than we give them credit for.
One last reason we write, thinking personally, would be to try and convey the messages of my personality through the pen I wield, to show people who I am and what I stand for. As I said earlier, writing is a catharsis, and this is no different for me. Now the question I want to ask you is:
Why do you write?
